It reduces sweat from the skin by absorbing the same. Baking soda can be mixed in equal proportion with lemon juice and applied underneath the arm, you can wash off after 30 minutes.

There are various ways apple cider vinegar can be used to treat acute body odour. It can be rubbed under the arm minutes before bathing or a cup can be added to bathing water.

While studies are still ongoing regarding essential oils, they can be used to fight acute body odour.

Oils like tree oil, chamomile oil, thyme oil, and peppermint oil can all be used as deodorants. However, you’d have to dilute these oils in water or carrier oil before usage.

To use, add essential oil to your water, allow to soak before using to bath.

Asides homemade remedies, there are other measures that can be taken to reduce body odour – for instance, good personal hygiene and lifestyle modification goes a long way to reducing body odour.

Lifestyle modification that can reduce body odour includes bathing twice a day, shaving public regions of the body regularly, wearing fabrics that do not cause heat, change in diet, wearing clean clothes and etc.
