Fidelity is an act of being loyal or faithful. And, it is alarmingly rare.
Everyone is imperfect and relationships can be tough. For celebrities, though, their relationships and flaws make headlines. Still, these people who are already under intense scrutiny continue to commit crimes like cheating on their partners.
Celebrity infidelity scandals might never stop. Sometimes, the news can be very speculative. Some celebrities keep their personal matters strictly private. Therefore, it can be difficult to know what actually occurred. But other times, they come clean.

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
In May 2011, not long after he left the office, it was revealed that the former Republican governor of California had a kid while he was still married to Maria Shiver. The child’s mother was Mildred Baena, the couple’s housekeeper.
In an interview in 2012, he claimed, “It was the stupidest thing I’ve done in the whole relationship”
The Terminator actor further said in 2017, “You do think about it every so often, and I can beat myself up as much as I want – it’s not gonna change the situation. So the key thing is, how do you move forward? How do you have a great relationship with your kids?
LAMAR ODOM
Lamar Odom had many affairs throughout his marriage to Khloé Kardashian.
He expressed guilt for the infidelity in an interview with Us Weekly. He told them, “If there is one thing I regret when I was married, it was having multiple affairs with different women. That wasn’t the stand-up thing to do. I wish I could have kept my di*k in my pants.”
JUDE LAW
Reports appeared in 2005 claiming Jude Law had cheated on his fiancée, Sienna Miller, with their kids’ nanny, Daisy Wright.
He admitted to the affair and expressed his regret to Miller in a public statement.
“Following the reports in today’s papers, I just want to say I am deeply ashamed and upset that I’ve hurt Sienna and the people most close to us.” He said in his statement. “I want to publicly apologise to Sienna and our respective families for the pain that I have caused. There is no defence for my actions which I sincerely regret and I ask that you respect our privacy at this very difficult time.”
SEBASTIAN LLETGET
In March 2023, three months after he got engaged to singer Becky G, the football player admitted to cheating on her. The viral news stated that, in 2022, he had hooked up with a lady in a nightclub in Madrid.
In response to the rumours that he had been unfaithful, Sebastian Lletget made a lengthy apology to his fiancée on Instagram.
He wrote, “To Becky, you have been the light in my life, my strength, who has always shown me unconditional love. Instead of honouring that love every day, I have done the opposite, hurting you, and disrespecting the one person I love more than anything. I am so sorry and know I have to do whatever it takes to earn back the trust and love you deserve.”
KEVIN HART
Actor Kevin Hart admitted to cheating on his pregnant wife Eniko Parrish in a radio appearance with “The Breakfast Club” in December 2017.
“I’m gonna address it, I’m gonna make my wife fully aware of what’s going on in the situation that I have now put us in. And I am hoping that she has the heart to where she can forgive me and understand that this is not going to be a reoccurring thing and allow me to recover from my f*****g massive mistake.”
Also in his Netflix docuseries, Kevin Hart: Don’t F**k This Up, he addressed his infidelity.
“The worst part was just knowing how you made somebody feel. There is a major effect it could have on the people that you are closest to, who you love the most. When I got to see that first-hand with Eniko, when I got to see the effect my reckless behaviour had… It was crushing, that tore me up. That really tore me up.”
JESSE JAMES
In March 2010, it went viral that Jesse James cheated on Sandra Bullock with Michelle McGee and various other women. His marriage with the actress fell apart. This was shortly after her Oscar win.
When Men’s Journal interviewed James in May 2011, he said, “I never shield away from anything I did. I took full responsibility. I cheated on my wife. Guess what? So do millions of other men. To be honest, it was unfair for me to even be in a relationship.”
ERIC BENÉT
Benét admitted to having an extramarital affair with roughly ten other women while married to Halle Berry. Following the infidelity, he enrolled in a 35-day sex addiction rehab facility. Eventually, in 2005, the couple divorced.
He discussed the marriage and his cheating with People magazine. “We all know that I cheated. It was out there. It’s a betrayal.”
TIGER WOODS
Tiger Woods was accused of engaging in quite a few numbers of extramarital romances in late 2009. In a follow-up story in 2010, Woods was said to have admitted to having extramarital relationships with up to 121 women throughout his six-year marriage to Elin Nordegren.
He acknowledged in a press conference, “I have made you question who I am and how I could have done the things I did. I was unfaithful. I had affairs. I cheated. What I did was not acceptable.”
HUGH GRANT
Hugh Grant was arrested in 1995 after he was found in a car having sex publicly with a sex worker. During that period, he was in a relationship with model and actress Elizabeth Hurley.
The next morning, the actor issued a public statement in which he said:
“Last night I did something completely insane. I have hurt people I love and embarrassed people I work with. For both things, I am more sorry than I can possibly say.”
Also, in an interview with Jay Leno, he was open about the lewd conduct, saying, “You know in life what’s a good thing to do and a bad thing to do. I did a bad thing.”
JAY-Z
Perhaps you are aware of the album Lemonade? Beyonce’s emotional album hinting her marital issues and final resolution. Jay-Z finally spoke up and confirmed that the rumours were true.
In an interview with Van Jones in 2018, he discussed the situation and how they resolved it. “For us, we chose to fight for our love, for our family. To give our kids a different outcome. To break that cycle for black men and women. We were never a celebrity couple; we were a couple who just happened to be celebrities. We are real people.”
The rapper explained in an interview with The New York Times Magazine, “The hardest thing is seeing pain on someone’s face that you caused, and then have to deal with yourself.”
TRISTAN THOMPSON
The Cleveland Cavaliers player had many affairs while with Khloé Kardashian. In 2018, the details of his affairs came to light just days before the birth of their daughter, True. However, the couple persisted.
Months after in 2019, the basketball player was exposed again for cheating with Woods, who was Kylie Jenner’s best friend at that time.
More recently in 2022, when things appeared to be going well between the duo, Thompson confessed to another affair. While in a relationship with Khloé Kardashian, he had an affair with Maralee Nichols, a trainer, with whom he had a kid.
Once paternity was established, Thompson apologized to Khloé Kardashian in a letter he shared on his Instagram Story.
He wrote, “Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am incredibly sorry.”
OFFSET
The rapper faced numerous infidelity accusations in 2017. Recordings leaked online that showed the Migos member in bed with several women. Cardi B announced their divorce in 2018, but it was eventually cancelled. After that, Offset uploaded a video where he apologized. He said:
“I partook in an activity that I ought not to have been taking in, and I apologize… I am sorry for what I have done to you. I didn’t f**k that girl, but I was entertaining it, you know what I’m saying? I apologize, and I love you, and I hope you forgive me.”
Offset’s ex-fling also apologized for her role in the couple’s conflict.
JOSH DUGGAR
The former star of 19 Kids and Counting admitted to cheating on his wife in 2015. A data leak had exposed his profile on infidelity sites. He had several dating accounts: one on OkCupid and two on Ashley Madison.
He issued a statement saying, “I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living.”
DAVID BOREANAZ
The Bones star acknowledged cheating on his wife of ten years, Jaime Bergman, with an unnamed lady. After the woman – whom he had cheated with – began increasing her demands for money, the actor made the decision to come clean.
He revealed to People Magazine, “Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities. I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible, I associated with a woman who I was involved with and had a relationship with. She asked for money. I felt as though I was being blackmailed or there was some sort of extortion.”
NED FULMER
The ex-member of the comic group, The Try Guys, wed Ariel Fulmer in 2012. He admitted to having a “consensual workplace relationship” with Alexandria Herring when pictures of him kissing her surfaced on Reddit.
Following the news about his affair with his producer, he was sacked from the popular YouTube show.
In a public statement, Ned wrote, “Family should have always been my priority, but I lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship. I am sorry for any pain that my actions may have caused to the guys and the fans but most of all, to Ariel.”
CONCLUSION
While some come as a genuine shock, there are others that were clearly in the cards long before the allegations were confirmed.
Infidelity can be quite distressing. Whether they committed the crime or were a victim of it, these celebrities will always be linked to infidelity. After the affair(s), many couples make an effort to stay together. Some split up right away. And there are others who left their partners to be with the person they cheated with.
